The Bluffs HOA had extensive damage to landscape plantings due to the February storms/extended freezing temperatures. An extensive cleanup was needed. Some members of our landscape committee spent time with Marshall walking the property and discussing what needed to be done. Lots of notes were taken and he provided his recommendations. A plan was developed and an estimate of cost was provided. The cleanup event took place on a hot day. A large crew along with Marshall arrived around 8:30 a.m. The crew did not leave until nearly 7:00 p.m. They worked hard all day completing the work as the extensive instructions directed. The cutting, trimming, and digging resulted in many trailers of plant debris being hauled away. The change in the appearance of the property by the end of the day was what we wanted to have happen. Thank you to Elements and the terrific crew.

We started working with Elements in February 2021 on a twice monthly maintenance program and recently had them install a drain near our water feature to protect against flash flooding. The team did such a great job with the drain it was nearly impossible to tell anyone was here at all digging up the limestones and the yard. Our landscape project was challenging. It had been described as having “good bones” but an invasive vine and weeds had overgrown a water feature that was no longer in use. Large boulders and other rocks were cluttered within the long river like water feature and dispersed throughout an otherwise bare landscape. We had previously worked with Mr. Terry Baker and Elements for a smaller project. Mr. Baker worked to develop a truly unique design. The water feature is now a dry arroyo lined with grasses, lilies and coral drift rose bushes. Butterflies and hummingbirds abound. Old plants and arroyo rocks were recycled therefore cutting down on waste and cost. The recycled elements blend perfectly with everything that was done. Emerald green zoysia grass surrounds the arroyo, a beautiful wood bridge goes across. An energy efficient lighting system accents the landscape, including three Japanese maples and eight Japanese yews. Flat stone trails lined by lilies, ferns and grasses complete our garden. Our grandchildren are in love with our yard and we enjoy it every day. Not less impressive was the crew of highly qualified, hard working and professional workers that accomplished Mr. Baker’s vision. We are extremely happy and satisfied with their work.

I moved to Austin in 2014 and found my yard and landscaping, at that time, to be in fairly good shape. Over the past few years, however, it fell into a slow decline, even as I worked with my then-lawn maintenance company to make improvements. Finally, as the yard, shrubs and flower beds were all decaying last fall/winter (2019-2020), I shopped around and, on the recommendation of a competitor–who was not operating in my area–I got in touch with Elements, both for weekly maintenance and a full recovery/replacement program. In the past two months they have worked wonders! The biggest and most immediate problem area was my backyard, with has 8 live oaks that provide substantial year-round shade. As a consequence, no grass was growing there, despite two full-scale replacements in the past 5 years and irrigation supplements. Greg from Elements immediately recognized the problem and proposed a solution: a new kind of grass (that my previous lawn crew had never recommended) as well as a general cleanup of the flower beds, etc. Two months later, the backyard grass is lush: greener, really, than almost anything around and quite full. The flowerbeds have been cleaned out, existing palms and shrubs trimmed, etc. In addition, Elements inspected my irrigation, fixed two problem areas, and put my entire lawn on a sensible watering schedule (both for the season and cost of irrigation). We’re about to embark on another project to replace some dead/old shrubs and fill in a number of areas where needed. And then we’ll do another project for an area of the yard where no work had been done over the past few years. I suspect all of this will be completed over the next couple of months–and if past success is any guide, these projects too will shine. I’m impressed with the level of talent at Elements, both from the experts, the weekly lawn crews, and the accounting/front desk operations. While investing in a lawn can be expensive, there are also a number of reasonable cost alternatives, which Elements recognizes and is willing to work out with their customers. Maintenance can be managed depending on need. In the end, I needed a full-service operation that could take care of more than just the weekly lawn mowing and occasional shrub trimming. Elements provides that full-service operation and does so very well. Highly highly recommended!

They really deserve more than 5 stars – as everything they’ve done has been done in a Covid environment. I was referred to Elements from another highly rated company who did not have openings in my service area. From my initial phone call all the way through their follow up to ensure I was happy with the work, these folks have been amazing. Maegan came out to do the initial assessment. She was great with the required physical distancing while being very thorough in her inspection of my yard. My yard was HORRIBLE, having pretty much every issue you can imagine a lawn having. She followed up with a detailed proposal and then the work was completed quickly. My lawn looks fantastic – better than I have seen it in so long. The work crews are clearly excellent at their jobs, and I know my lawn is a real challenge. My yard is very large, with several 45 degree angle slopes, about 15 Oak trees, and tons of rocks and boulders just under the surface. There were the usual leaves, pollen and weeds everywhere. Maegan made me a plan to get my lawn where it needs to be, with the first steps being completed already. I can already say my lawn will be gorgeous in a short time. I cannot recommend them highly enough!!

Brent met me as scheduled, discussed my needs, and prepared an estimate for me in a fairly short time frame. He did not try to up-sell me on things I didn’t need or want, but did make some helpful suggestions that I considered. I recently had these folks install a french drain between my house and the neighbor’s house. I was really nervous / anxious about the whole deal after the lines were marked before digging and it looked like a spider web puzzle in our front yards. However they got it completed without any disruption for cable, phone, internet, gas line etc. The employee in charge was Nacho, who has done work here before and is a hard worker and very conscientious. They cleaned up very good too.

Also, I wanted to tell you what a FANTASTIC job the guys are doing already. It is amazing what a difference is already noticeable & that is with no doubt that they had been here last week. Even the palm tree in the abandoned side yard looks happier & the magnolias are blooming! Please let the team know what a great job they are doing and how pleased we are.
