The cool breezes of winter have arrived in our area and this has created a great deal of leaf drop from our landscape trees. It will be very important to manage all the leaves that fall and cover your turf areas. If left too long, this leaf litter can cause long term damage to your turf by not allowing air and light to reach the soil.
Even if you cannot remove them, consider moving them into your flower beds and covering them with a thin layer of mulch. This is a great place to allow them to decompose and keep the lawn looking good.
